Solar Power

Solar power is just one feature of the eco-friendly environment at Industry Village. Utilizing roof top solar panels, energy from the sun is harnessed and fed back into the power grid - hence lowering the energy requirements  and providing both a cost saving and environmental benefit.

As part of the sustainable approach to this project individual units ( where appropriate) will be provided with a solar package including:

• An array of PV cells set into a self supporting frame inclined to maximize solar absorption.
• Inverters to convert power from the array into usable AC power.
• Feed meters that allow the generated power to be measured as it is fed back into the supply grid.

Each solar array system will be managed and maintained by the body corporate using a standard management agreement. The Body Corporate will aggregate the total power supply and negotiate the best possible sale rate per kW back to the energy supplier. Net income derived from the  sale of this solar power will then be credited back to the unit owner.
